The Journey....: Miami baby shower

We are so blessed to have so many great friends and family. My mom hosted a baby shower for us in Miami, my home town, so that our loved ones there could celebrate with us. It was fun, creative, and so lovely to be surrounded by so many people we don't often get to see.

Seeing as how the nursery is slowing evolving to include lots of animals, that became one of the themes for the shower. The decorations were too cute!

Melissa, Anna, and I assembled some last minute favors...

The food was delicious! So many people brought their specialties, including one of my favorites - Paula's Crab Dip. Don't you just love the little animals naming each dish?

The cake was extra special because it was made by Marjorie Swift. She made the cake for my mother's baby shower when she was pregnant with me!!!!!!!!! Her cakes are amazing and it was truly a blessing not only to continue the tradition with another generation but to have her celebrate with us.

We were surrounded by so many people we love.

Everyone was so generous and we have again been blown away with the gifts.

This gift is extra special. Anna's amazing mother handmade the bassinette - it is gorgeous. Words simply can't describe how much love she put into this and I can't wait until Baby Parets sees it!
