Lukie's First Christmas!

Christmas day has finally dawned!

Lukas is getting ready for his first Christmas and he couldn't be any cuter! I love this photos from JC Penneys.

Lukie and Aunt Linda

Lukas got to hang out with his Aunt Linda for the evening. He loves her!

Lukas is 4 months old!!!

Four months old and looking good. Lukie went to visit his doctor for his 4 month check up. He's 25 inches long, his head is 16.5 inches and he weighs in at 13 lbs, 4 oz. That's nearly doubled from his lowest weight of 6 lbs, 10 oz! While he still has a little catching up to do on the weigh, I'm not worried at all.

Things Lukie loves at 4 months

• Geoffrey. Geoffrey is his best friend. Geoffrey is also a giraffe. He lives on the handle of Lukie's car seat. Lukie confides in Geoffrey and Geoffrey can always keep a secret.

• Sleep. Lukas loves sleeping. Since he was 5 weeks old, he has really enjoyed some long night sleeps. Every once in a while he wakes up, but for the most part he loves a good long stretch of sleep at night. He also loves dozing after some morning milkies. He cat naps during the day, but I can deal with short naps if it means we all get a good night sleep! 

• People. Lukas hasn't met a stranger yet. He loves people, especially the girls at school. He smiles, flirts, talks, and coos. He loves to be held by many people. You can see this in the way he greeted Santa! 

• Playing. Lukas loves to play with his toys. Some of his favorites are kangaroo and ball. He loves to see how many different things can fit in his mouth. He also loves the toys that make a noise when he grabs or shakes them. He's learning that he can control these things and it is just so cool to watch! 

• Mama. Lukas seems to love hanging out with me. Most likely because I am the source of milkies. Some of my favorite times are in the wee hours of the morning, when he's sleepy but still hungry. He'll snuggle in, sometimes holding my finger in his hand, sighing contentedly as he nurses. 

• Dada. Lukas ADORES his daddy!!!!! At four months old, he will stop whatever he's doing when Matt walks into a room and talks. Milkies, toys, talking, doesn't matter - DADDY IS HERE! Lukie talks to his Daddy all the time and tells him stories of his day. They dance, count, and read together. They just began reading The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and so far Lukie is enjoying it. He loves when Daddy tickles his toes. He also loves taking a snooze on Daddy's chest.

Four months in and I wouldn't change a thing. I'm so grateful that I could have this time at home with him. I love watching him stretch, grow, and change every day. I love this little boy more than I thought was possible!

Now that Thanksgiving is done, Christmas is on! Matt set up the tree the Friday after Thanksgiving and I'm so excited to break out of all Lukie's super cute Christmas stuff.

One of the best parts of the Thanksgiving weekend was getting to spend time with some of our favorite people. It made my heart so happy to see Ben and Phoebe (Matt's godchildren) loving on our little boy.
