Telling people

We've begun telling our friends and family.

Telling Anna was fun. We sent her the following picture:

The fun thing about that picture is that she took it back in December - when I was only a few weeks pregnant. Matt, Anna and I went to Hogwarts and she snapped this picture then. Her reaction to seeing it was priceless!

We also told Matt's sister and she sent us the loveliest arrangement of the flowers the next day to congratulate us. Aren't they pretty?

It's possible that we've had the most fun telling the Claussens. When Matt proposed to me 7 years ago, we tried to call a few people to tell them the good news, but everyone we tried to reach was busy. The first person we got through to that night was Emily Claussen. We actually talked to her mom and dad first, but we quickly asked to speak to her because we wanted her to be our flower girl. (She consented, but only if we referred to her as the Flower Monster Girl)

So we decided that since she was one of the first people to know that we were engaged, she should be first in her family to know that we are pregnant. We called on her birthday (how is she 10??????) and told her the good news. It was so much fun to hear her screaming with joy!!!!!!!!!!
